The Edible Schoolyard Project trains educators to create powerful and sustainable edible education programs in their schools and communities. Learn and experience first-hand the core principles and practical tools for bringing academic subjects to life in the kitchen, garden, and lunchroom.
The Edible Schoolyard Academy is designed to strengthen your program and build your leadership in the field. Over the course of five days, Academy participants will have an opportunity to learn about curriculum integration and development, funding strategies, evaluation, volunteer management, class scheduling, rituals and routines of garden and kitchen classrooms, outreach strategies, and much more. In the Academy agenda, all participants spend one day on school gardens, cooking with kids, and organizational development. Chef Ann Cooper will be participating in this training through a panel discussion.
