Let’s Fork It Over for Food Gardens

Check out this guest blog post from Roger Doiron of Kitchen Gardeners International:

This spring represents the second anniversary of the digging of the White House kitchen garden. As director of the nonprofit, Kitchen Gardeners International (KGI), I was delighted to be part of the large and diverse movement of people and organizations that helped make that garden possible.

With First Lady Michelle Obama and the nation’s First Lawn firmly in the win column for homegrown cause, KGI is now working to inspire other public figures to support food gardens through their fame, fortune and online influence. We’re doing this through a new campaign called “Fork It Over.” Although the campaign’s name may be tongue-in-cheek, the context is no laughing matter. We’ve only scratched the surface of what gardens can do and will need to do in an increasingly crowded and climate changed world.

And do what YOU can to help this great cause!
