Julia joined the Chef Ann team in May of 2020 as a Marketing & Communications Intern. As an intern, Julia assists the team with digital media and marketing efforts.

Julia joined the Chef Ann team in May of 2020 as a Marketing & Communications Intern. As an intern, Julia assists the team with digital media and marketing efforts.

Julia comes to Chef Ann with 3 years of nonprofit experience in digital marketing, communications, and event planning. She believes that all children should be offered healthy, environmentally and economically sustainable meals at school.

With deep interest in the environment and sustainability, Julia is now pursuing a master’s degree in Environmental Journalism at CU Boulder. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Language from Virginia Tech.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.
