Deborah is thrilled to join the Chef Ann Development Team as Grant Writer. Receiving her PhD from DePaul University’s College of Education in 2017, Deborah brings her passion for enacting systemic change by writing grants in food and social equity.

Deborah is thrilled to join the Chef Ann Development Team as Grant Writer. Receiving her PhD from DePaul University’s College of Education in 2017, Deborah brings her passion for enacting systemic change by writing grants in food and social equity.

Prior to her work with CAF, Deborah has enjoyed a long history of teaching in public and private middle schools, high schools and universities. In conjunction with her work with CAF, she continues to teach courses in writing and educational equity at DePaul’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.
