Katherine is very excited to join the Chef Ann Foundation team as Government Relations Coordinator. In this role she supports the CAF team by stewarding relationships with our federal partners.

Katherine is extremely passionate about creating more equitable and sustainable food systems and ensuring everyone has access to healthy, nutritious food. She believes that improving school food is not only essential for creating healthier communities but a healthy environment. Prior to working with CAF, she received a Bachelors in Nutrition and Master’s in Public Health. Katherine has worked for several NGOs in the Greater Boston Area focused on improving underserved communities’ access to healthy foods by simultaneously combating food waste. Since then she has worked in public health grants management for the past 5 years with Massachusetts General Hospital and most recently the International Rescue Committee. In her free time, Katherine loves finding time to explore the neighborhoods of NYC, hiking, and relaxing with a good (or bad) movie

Who We Are

The Chef Ann Foundation is dedicated to promoting whole-ingredient, scratch-cooking in schools. Scratch-cooking enables schools to serve the healthiest, tastiest meals so that kids are well-fed and ready to learn.

Our Mission

Ensure that school food professionals have the resources, funding and support they need to provide fresh, healthy, delicious, cook from scratch meals that support the health of children and our planet.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.
