Andy grew up in a rural Ohio farming community and graduated from Ohio University and the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

Andy grew up in a rural Ohio farming community and graduated from Ohio University and the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

Before joining the Chef Ann Foundation, he worked as a labor union organizer, lobbyist, software developer, and technical implementation specialist. Coming from a family of public school teachers, he possesses a deep passion for economic justice.

Outside of work, Andy enjoys walking with his wife and dog, listening to Cleveland Guardians baseball games, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

Ensure that school food professionals have the resources, funding and support they need to provide fresh, healthy, delicious, cook from scratch meals that support the health of children and our planet.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.
