SHE/HER/HERS

Engagement Marketing Intern

Aramena serves as the Engagement Marketing Intern, where she assists the marketing team with writing blog posts and creating social media content. Her role helps paint a picture of the Chef Ann Foundation's mission and impact, allowing our audiences to feel informed and connected.

As a marketing student at the University of Washington, Aramena is learning how to transform passion into action and how to connect brands to humans by creating a story that communities can identify with. She has previously worked as a pro-bono Marketing Consultant, specializing in Community Engagement and Partnerships, and serves as the Outreach Director for a literary magazine. At the Chef Ann Foundation, she has the opportunity to connect her marketing skills with her environmental and social values, which she has also pursued through volunteering with environmental organizations such as the UW Farm.

As a born and raised Pacific Northwesterner, Aramena loves to read inside and sip on a coffee when it rains, and if the weather permits, go hit the trails and camp out in the woods.

Who We Are

The Chef Ann Foundation is dedicated to promoting whole-ingredient, scratch-cooking in schools. Scratch-cooking enables schools to serve the healthiest, tastiest meals so that kids are well-fed and ready to learn.

Our Mission

Ensure that school food professionals have the resources, funding and support they need to provide fresh, healthy, delicious, cook from scratch meals that support the health of children and our planet.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.

Let’s (re)do lunch!
