Chelsea Lodge is currently pursuing an MPH in Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She earned her BS in Public Health from Stetson University, where her studies centered on sustainable food systems and community health.

Before graduate school, Chelsea worked in SNAP-Ed at the Florida Department of Health and served with FoodCorps at the Garden School Foundation in Los Angeles, where she taught children about food and nutrition through school garden programs. She is especially interested in how school meal programs and federal nutrition policies can advance health equity, reduce food insecurity, and address diet-related health disparities.

Chelsea is based in Los Angeles, CA, where she enjoys cooking traditional Lao dishes, baking cakes, gardening, and spending as much time as possible at the beach with her husband.

Who We Are

The Chef Ann Foundation is dedicated to promoting whole-ingredient, scratch-cooking in schools. Scratch-cooking enables schools to serve the healthiest, tastiest meals so that kids are well-fed and ready to learn.

Our Mission

Ensure that school food professionals have the resources, funding and support they need to provide fresh, healthy, delicious, cook from scratch meals that support the health of children and our planet.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.
