Senior Specialist, Values-Aligned Supply Chains

John joined the Chef Ann Foundation team in April 2026 and serves as the organization’s Senior Specialist of Values-Aligned Supply Chains. His work focuses on connecting values-aligned producers and distributors with K–12 food service operations and building supply chains that make it easier for schools to serve high-quality meals.

John brings experience across food and agriculture supply chains, with a focus on supporting values-aligned sourcing and strengthening connections between producers and institutional buyers. Prior to joining the Chef Ann Foundation, he worked with mission-driven food brands to scale products from smallholder farmers into national markets, building systems across sourcing, supply planning, and operations. He has also contributed to food systems research and policy through his work with Food Tank and the Center for Agriculture and Food Systems, where he focused on food access, supply chain resilience, and values-aligned procurement. He believes that strengthening institutional procurement is a critical step toward building a more equitable and sustainable food system.

Outside of work, John enjoys cooking, exploring local food communities, and playing soccer.

Who We Are

The Chef Ann Foundation is dedicated to promoting whole-ingredient, scratch-cooking in schools. Scratch-cooking enables schools to serve the healthiest, tastiest meals so that kids are well-fed and ready to learn.

Our Mission

Ensure that school food professionals have the resources, funding and support they need to provide fresh, healthy, delicious, cook from scratch meals that support the health of children and our planet.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.
