Procurement Specialist

Yousef Buzayan joined Chef Ann Foundation as a Procurement Specialist in May 2024. As a Procurement Specialist, he supports the implementation of CAF’s procurement operating framework work at the Chef Ann Foundation, ensuring that this critical piece of support increases School Food Authorities’ sustainable procurement and integration of local ingredients in scratch cook operations.

Yousef Buzayan joined Chef Ann Foundation as a Procurement Specialist in May 2024. As a Procurement Specialist, he supports the implementation of CAF’s procurement operating framework work at the Chef Ann Foundation, ensuring that this critical piece of support increases School Food Authorities’ sustainable procurement and integration of local ingredients in scratch cook operations.

Yousef has 7 years of experience providing technical expertise and assistance to food producers and food service operators on supply chain logistics, regulations, and best practices for Farm to Institution sales. He studied Agricultural Economics and International Agricultural Development at UC Davis and has interests in food systems, food justice, and agricultural supply chains. He has had several experiences in food systems, from working at local farms, greenhouses, and farmers markets to leading the Community Alliance with Family Farmers statewide Farm to School program in California.

In his spare time, Yousef plays basketball, weight lifts, follows fantasy football, listens to podcasts, and watches the US National Soccer teams.
