By completing the paid Pre-Apprenticeship program, you will be eligible for other Chef Ann Foundation programs, become a school-food leader in your community, and embark on a journey to further healthy school food in California. A successful mission-based career is closer than you think!

Earn While You Learn

By participating in the Pre-Apprenticeship program, you will build your professional knowledge and experience in creating and running successful scratch-cook meal programs in schools.

  • 7 weeks of paid, on-the-job learning (12 hours/week)
  • 3 online courses through Chef Ann Foundation’s School Food Institute
  • 2 live virtual learning sessions

Pre-Apprentices will be paid $17 per hour for on-the-job learning and college credits may be available! Currently only available to California residents where Chef Ann Foundation has partner K-12 districts.
